Plant Wall Inspiration

Plant Wall Inspiration

A wall of plants is certainly a unique way to add decor to your space and, unless the benefit of fitting more house plants into your collection is not enough, here are some reasons you should consider adding one as well as some tips on colours and layouts.

We all know the health benefits of having plants in your home and if you are snatched for space or simply prefer your worktops and other surface space clutter free wall mounting your plants is certainly the solution. If you prefer decor to be functional why not add a herb garden to your kitchen wall for fresh produce on demand while cooking.

Monochromatic Displays

Copper is timeless and compliments a wide range of colours - if you are looking to gift someone a planter this could be a good choice. When opting for a monochromatic display try to choose a range of shapes to add texture and interest to your plant wall. The copper against the white wall is a lovely contrast but do not be afraid to add colour to your walls to really make your planters pop.

You can go one step further and fully commit to your favourite colour by matching the colours of your planters and walls. On the left we can see the colour of the planters is perfectly matched to the paint making the plants stand out beautifully and very much emphasising the shapes and textures of the planters. This could be a good choice for spaces that are smaller or already feeling crowded as the visual impact of the display is somewhat reduced.

Choosing a different shade for your planters like the green arrangement on the left is still harmonious but the planters stand out more against their background.
